Caesar's cipher

The Caesar cipher is the simplest and best known encryption algorithm that uses a symmetric key. It is a substitution cipher, which means that characters are systematically replaced by other characters.
This encryption is named after Julius Caesar, who used it in his personal correspondence. It is no longer used in a real-world environment on its own, as it provides weak security - it is easily breakable.
